7/19/2018 Michael Porter Jr., Den, SF
Porter Jr. has undergone back surgery in Dallas and there is no timetable for his return to the court. The Nuggets said Thursday the procedure of the lumbar spine was performed by Dr. Andrew Dossett at the Carrell Clinic.

Analysis: Porter was taken by Denver with the 14th overall pick in the June draft. He was considered a top-five selection before a back injury that required surgery limited him to three games at Missouri in 2017-18.
7/18/2018 Kawhi Leonard, Tor, G-F
The Spurs have agreed to trade Leonard to the Raptors in a blockbuster four-player deal that will send DeMar DeRozan to San Antonio. The Spurs will also reportedly receive center Jakob Poeltl and a future first-round pick will sending guard Danny Green to Toronto.

Analysis: In Leonard, the Raptors will be getting one of the league premier two-way players but they'll also be taking on significant risk. A lingering quadriceps injury limited the two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year to nine games during a tumultuous 2017-18 campaign, plus he's widely believed to want to sign with the Lakers once he becomes a free agent after this coming season.
7/18/2018 DeMar DeRozan, SA, G-F
DeRozan is headed to the Spurs as part of a blockbuster four-player trade that will send Kawhi Leonard to Toronto.

Analysis: A four-time All-Star, DeRozan has averaged 23.4 points per game over the past five seasons and should have a chance to put up similar numbers as one of the focal points of a revamped Spurs team. Though he's overall a downgrade from a healthy Leonard, the soon-to-be 29-year-old is under contract for at least two more seasons, whereas Leonard was considered a sure thing to leave as a free agent in 2019.
7/18/2018 Danny Green, Tor, G-F
Green is also headed to Toronto in the blockbuster trade that will also send Kawhi Leonard to the Raptors and DeMar DeRozan to the Spurs.

Analysis: The nine-year veteran isn't coming off a great season, but he's a better outside shooter than DeRozan and a solid defender who could step right in as Toronto's starting two guard. Green has shot 39.5 percent from beyond the arc for his career while averaging 8.8 points over 540 NBA games.
7/18/2018 Jakob Poeltl, SA, C
Poeltl will head to San Antonio as part of the four-player trade that will also send DeMar DeRozan to the Spurs and Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to the Raptors.

Analysis: The ninth overall pick of the 2016 draft, Poeltl showed promise as a backup in his two seasons with Toronto and could be viewed as the heir apparent to the aging Pau Gasol. The 7-foot Austrian averaged 6.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 18.6 minutes while shooting 65.9 percent from the field last season.
7/13/2018 Lonzo Ball, LAL, PG
Ball had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on July 17.

Analysis: The team said the procedure was successful and Ball is expected be ready to go by the time training camp starts. Issues with the same knee limited the 2017 No. 2 overall pick to 52 games during his rookie season, and the Lakers recently added veteran point guard Rajon Rondo as insurance.
7/13/2018 Kenneth Faried, Bkn, F-C
The Nuggets have traded Faried, forward Darrell Arthur and a protected 2019 first-round pick to the Nets for guard Isaiah Whitehead. Brooklyn will also receive a 2020 second-round pick as part of the deal.

Analysis: It's purely a cost-cutting move for the Nuggets after the team handed out big new contracts to Nikola Jokic and Will Barton. Faried, due $13.8 million in the final year of his contract, could be a buyout candidate and likely won't factor much into the rebuilding Nets' plans should he stay on the roster.
7/9/2018 Marvin Bagley III, Sac, PF
There won't be any more basketball for No. 2 pick Marvin Bagley III in Summer League, as the Sacramento Kings announced that an MRI revealed a pelvic bone bruise.

Analysis: The Kings said Bagley would rest for a week or two.
