Analysis: Thompson's right ankle was caught awkwardly under Saints defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins in the third quarter. Thompson had to be removed from the field on a cart.
|Nov. 12, 2017 3:44 PM PT4:44 PM MT5:44 PM CT6:44 PM ET23:44 GMT7:44 4:44 PM MST6:44 PM EST5:44 PM CT3:44 UAE (+1)18:44 ETNaN: - Chris Thompson ran for 26 yards on nine carries Sunday in the Washington Redskins' 38-30 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He added three receptions for 41 yards.
Analysis: Thompson had his most carries since Week 6 and could see more action if Rob Kelley's leg injury is serious.

|Oct. 29, 2017 4:50 PM PT5:50 PM MT6:50 PM CT7:50 PM ET23:50 GMT7:50 4:50 PM MST6:50 PM EST5:50 PM CT3:50 UAE (+1)19:50 ETNaN: - Chris Thompson ran for 18 yards on four carries Sunday in the Washington Redskins' 33-19 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He added eight receptions for 76 yards.
Analysis: Thompson was Washington's most effective weapon in the loss as he hauled in eight of nine targets - both season highs. Thompson already has two 100-yard receiving efforts this season and is on pace to surpass 1,000 yards for the season.
|Oct. 23, 2017 8:47 PM PT9:47 PM MT10:47 PM CT11:47 PM ET3:47 GMT11:47 8:47 PM MST10:47 PM EST10:47 PM CT7:47 UAE (+1)23:47 ETNaN: - Chris Thompson ran for 38 yards on seven carries Monday in the Washington Redskins' 34-24 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He added five receptions for 26 yards and one touchdown.
Analysis: The NFL's leader among running backs with 366 receiving yards, Thompson found the end zone for the fifth time in six games on a short catch in the second quarter. While it'll be very tough to keep up that scoring pace, the third-down back has established himself as a pretty good option in PPR formats.
|Oct. 15, 2017 1:53 PM PT2:53 PM MT3:53 PM CT4:53 PM ET20:53 GMT4:53 1:53 PM MST3:53 PM EST3:53 PM CT0:53 UAE (+1)16:53 ETNaN: - Chris Thompson ran for 33 yards on 16 carries Sunday in the Washington Redskins' 26-24 win over the San Francisco 49ers. He added four receptions for 105 yards.

|Sep. 24, 2017 8:44 PM PT9:44 PM MT10:44 PM CT11:44 PM ET3:44 GMT11:44 8:44 PM MST10:44 PM EST10:44 PM CT7:44 UAE (+1)23:44 ETNaN: - Chris Thompson ran for 38 yards on eight carries Sunday in the Washington Redskins' 27-10 win over the Oakland Raiders. He added six receptions for 150 yards and one touchdown.
Analysis: Thompson joined Jamaal Charles as the only running backs to put up 150 yards receiving against the Raiders (2-1) since they moved to Oakland in 1995. He was again a difference maker and has four of Washington's seven offensive touchdowns this season.
|Sep. 17, 2017 5:23 PM PT6:23 PM MT7:23 PM CT8:23 PM ET0:23 GMT8:23 5:23 PM MST7:23 PM EST7:23 PM CT4:23 UAE (+1)20:23 ETNaN: - Chris Thompson ran for 77 yards and two touchdowns on three carries Sunday in the Washington Redskins' 27-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams. He added three receptions for 29 yards.
Analysis: Thompson did most of his damage on a dazzling 61-yard touchown run late in the first half, but drew a team-high seven targets and appears to be a focal point of Washington's struggling passing attack. With six touchdowns over his last six games dating back to last season, he's turned into a sneaky-good flex option in PPR leagues.
|Sep. 10, 2017 2:18 PM PT3:18 PM MT4:18 PM CT5:18 PM ET21:18 GMT5:18 2:18 PM MST4:18 PM EST4:18 PM CT1:18 UAE (+1)17:18 ETNaN: - Chris Thompson ran for four yards on three carries Sunday in the Washington Redskins' 30-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He added four receptions for 52 yards and one touchdown.
Analysis: Though Rob Kelley got 10 rushing attempts (for 30 yards), Thompson could be just as valuable because he's a much bigger part of the passing game. He was targeted five times Sunday. Thompson had 49 catches for 349 yards last season.
|Apr. 21, 2017 1:03 PM PT2:03 PM MT3:03 PM CT4:03 PM ET20:03 GMT4:03 1:03 PM MST3:03 PM EST3:03 PM CT0:03 UAE (+1)16:03 ETNaN: - The Washington Redskins re-signed Thompson to his tender contract. Friday was the deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets with other teams, but Thompson did not sign with anyone else since being tendered by the Redskins.
Analysis: Last season, Thompson played in all 16 games for the first time in his career, posting career highs in rushing attempts (68), rushing yards (356), rushing touchdowns (three), receptions (49) and receiving yards (349) while matching his career high with two receiving touchdowns.
