Colts sign former Lions TE Ebron

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) The Indianapolis Colts finally made a splash in free agency Monday by signing tight end Eric Ebron.

Terms of the deal were not immediately available.

Ebron was released last week by the Detroit Lions, the team that made him a first-round pick in 2014.


'Skins sign CB Scandrick to 2-year deal

WASHINGTON (AP) A person with direct knowledge of the move says the Washington Redskins have signed cornerback Orlando Scandrick to a two-year deal worth up to $10 million.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Monday because the team had not announced the deal.


Chargers sign star C Pouncey for 2 years

COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) Veteran center Mike Pouncey agreed to a two-year contract Monday with the Los Angeles Chargers, who added a standout run-blocker to their powerful offense.

Pouncey was released by Miami last week after the three-time Pro Bowl selection refused a pay cut. He started all 16 games for the Dolphins last season, his seventh in the NFL.


Rams bring back DE Easley on 1-year deal

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (AP) The Los Angeles Rams have re-signed defensive end Dominique Easley after an injury kept him out last season.

The Rams announced the one-year deal with the veteran Monday.


Vikings, Broncos finalize Siemian trade

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) The Minnesota Vikings have finalized their trade with the Denver Broncos to acquire quarterback Trevor Siemian, to be their backup to free agent prize Kirk Cousins.

The Vikings announced the deal, which was agreed to last week, on Monday. According to the NFL transaction wire, the Vikings sent a 2019 fifth-round draft pick to the Broncos for Siemian and a seventh-round choice this year.


Bucs, DE Curry agree to 3 years, $27M

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) The Tampa Bay Buccaneers moved to bolster the NFL's least productive pass rush, signing former Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Vinny Curry in free agency.

The Bucs also announced the signing Monday of free agent center Ryan Jensen, who spent the first five years of his pro career with the Baltimore Ravens.


Raiders sign backup QB Johnson

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent quarterback Josh Johnson to compete for the backup position.

The team also officially announced the signing of cornerback Shareece Wright on Monday. Wright said last week he had agreed to join the Raiders.


Texans sign S Mathieu, claim WR Coates

HOUSTON (AP) The "Honey Badger" is headed to Houston.

The Houston Texans said Monday they had signed unrestricted free agent safety Tyrann Mathieu and claimed wide receiver Sammie Coates off waivers from Cleveland.


Panthers, WR Wright reach 3-year deal

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) The Panthers are trying to give quarterback Cam Newton more pieces to work with on offense.

Carolina has agreed to terms with free agent slot wide receiver Jarius Wright on a three-year deal, a person familiar with the situation said Monday. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the Panthers have not announced the move.


Bills to sign C Bodine, OT Newhouse

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) The Buffalo Bills began restocking their offensive line in free agency by reaching agreements to sign center Russell Bodine and tackle Marshall Newhouse.

Bodine agreed to a two-year deal after making 64 consecutive starts through his first four NFL seasons with Cincinnati Bengals. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 308 pounds, he was selected in the fourth round of the 2014 draft out of North Carolina.
